THE IMPORTANT BIT
Feast of Fire is intentionally different from a conventional festival.
Places are extremely limited. Food is purchased and prepared specifically for the number of people attending. Chefs and teams commit months in advance, and substantial Event costs are incurred long before the fires are lit. For that reason, once you buy a ticket, your booking is final and we do not operate a discretionary refund policy.
Tickets are non-refundable. If Feast of Fire has to be postponed, your ticket will automatically transfer to a replacement event taking place within 365 days of the original date, subject always to your statutory rights.
If you cannot attend, you may transfer the ticket to another person in accordance with these Terms, but you must tell us who will be attending in your place before the transfer can be treated as valid.
Keep your wristband on. Keep your meal tokens safe. Follow the weekend schedule and the reasonable directions of the Feast of Fire team.
Then relax, come hungry, and enjoy your place around the fire.
Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before purchasing a ticket. By purchasing, receiving, transferring or using a ticket for a Feast of Fire event, you agree to be bound by them.
1. YOUR TICKET
A ticket gives the named ticket holder admission to the Feast of Fire event, venue and dates stated on the booking confirmation, subject to these Terms & Conditions.
Your ticket includes the food, demonstrations and experiences identified as included within the published Feast of Fire programme.
Drinks are not included unless expressly stated otherwise.
Travel, accommodation, parking and any other personal costs are not included unless specifically confirmed by us in writing.
A ticket is a personal, revocable licence to enter and remain at the Event subject to these Terms.
2. ALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL
All ticket purchases are final. Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable once purchased, except where a refund is required by applicable law.
We do not provide refunds because:
- you change your mind;
- you are unable or choose not to attend;
- illness, travel difficulties, accommodation problems or other personal circumstances prevent you attending;
- you arrive late or leave early;
- adverse weather affects your journey or enjoyment of the Event;
- individual chefs, cooks, dishes, demonstrations or activities change;
- timings within the programme change;
- you fail to redeem food tokens or attend a scheduled service;
- you lose your ticket, wristband or food tokens;
- you are refused admission or removed from the Event in accordance with these Terms; or
- part of the Event is altered, moved, delayed, curtailed or unavailable for operational, safety or other reasons.
Please make sure that you can attend before purchasing your ticket.
We recommend that guests consider suitable ticket, travel or cancellation insurance if they wish to protect themselves against circumstances that may prevent them from attending.
Where applicable, the normal statutory cooling-off period for online purchases may not apply to leisure services supplied on a specified date or during a specified period.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
3. POSTPONEMENT, RESCHEDULING & THE 365-DAY RULE
Feast of Fire is a live, predominantly outdoor event and may be affected by circumstances beyond the Organiser’s reasonable control.
If the Event cannot take place on its advertised date for any reason, the Organiser reserves the right to postpone and reschedule the Event to a replacement date falling within 365 days of the original scheduled Event date.
Where the Event is postponed or rescheduled:
- Your ticket will automatically remain valid for the replacement Event.
- Your booking will automatically transfer to the replacement date and you will not need to purchase another ticket.
- A postponement or rescheduling within this 365-day period will not be treated by the Organiser as a cancellation of the Event and will not, in itself, give rise to a discretionary right to a refund.
- If you are unable or choose not to attend the replacement date, the normal non-refundable ticket conditions will continue to apply. You may instead transfer your ticket to another person in accordance with Section 13 below.
- The Organiser may announce the replacement date at the time postponement is announced or at a later date, provided that the rescheduled Event is intended to take place within 365 days of the original Event date.
This approach reflects the Organiser’s existing event contracting position, under which postponed events may be moved to a replacement date rather than treated as cancelled.
4. EVENT CHANGES
The Organiser reserves the right, where reasonably necessary, to alter:
- Event opening or closing times;
- individual service times;
- the running order;
- demonstrations;
- chefs, pit cooks or other participants;
- dishes, menus or ingredients;
- equipment or cooking methods;
- entertainment or activities;
- individual Event areas;
- the layout of the site; and
- any other element of the published programme.
Such changes do not ordinarily constitute cancellation of the Event and will not normally entitle the ticket holder to a refund.
Feast of Fire is a live event and some flexibility is essential to ensure it can be delivered safely and successfully.
5. WEATHER & CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL
Feast of Fire takes place largely outdoors.
The Event will proceed in most weather conditions. Rain, wind, heat, cold or other normal adverse weather conditions do not entitle a ticket holder to a refund.
The Organiser will not be responsible for failure or delay in delivering any part of the Event where caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
These may include, without limitation:
- severe or unsafe weather;
- flood;
- fire;
- drought;
- storm;
- structural or venue problems;
- failure of utilities;
- power failure;
- transport disruption;
- industrial action;
- epidemic or pandemic;
- government restrictions;
- acts or threats of terrorism;
- civil disorder;
- public safety concerns;
- emergency-service requirements;
- licensing or regulatory decisions;
- court orders;
- illness or unavailability of key personnel;
- supply-chain disruption; or
- any other circumstance outside the Organiser’s reasonable control.
The existing organiser agreement similarly excludes responsibility for delay or inability to perform caused by events outside the organiser’s control, including transport disruption, terrorism, fire, flood and severe weather.
Where possible, we will take reasonable steps to adapt, relocate, postpone or reschedule the Event rather than cancel it.
6. IF THE EVENT CANNOT BE RESCHEDULED
If the Organiser ultimately determines that the Event cannot take place within 365 days of its original scheduled date, ticket holders will be notified of the arrangements that apply.
Any refund or other remedy will be limited to whatever the ticket holder is legally entitled to receive under applicable consumer law.
Except where required by law, Feast of Fire does not operate a discretionary refund policy.
7. RIGHT OF ADMISSION RESERVED
Admission to Feast of Fire is subject to these Terms and to the reasonable instructions of the Organiser, venue management, Event staff and security personnel.
The Organiser reserves the right to refuse admission where reasonably necessary for safety, security, legal, licensing, operational or behavioural reasons.
We may refuse entry to, or remove from the Event, any person who:
- fails to follow a reasonable instruction from Event staff;
- enters or attempts to enter a restricted cooking, fire, preparation or staff area without permission;
- interferes with fires, cooking equipment, machinery or Event infrastructure;
- behaves aggressively, abusively, threateningly, dangerously or antisocially;
- harasses another guest, chef, member of staff, supplier or participant;
- is excessively intoxicated;
- is reasonably believed to present a risk to themselves or others;
- damages the venue, equipment or property;
- brings prohibited or dangerous items onto the site;
- supplies alcohol to a minor;
- attempts to gain unauthorised access;
- misuses a ticket, wristband or meal token;
- breaches these Terms; or
- otherwise acts in a way which the Organiser reasonably believes could compromise the safety, enjoyment, atmosphere or reputation of the Event.
A person refused admission or removed from the Event for any of these reasons will not be entitled to a refund.
Your existing agreement already reserves the right to require compliance with event rules and permits removal without refund where those rules are not followed.
The decision of the Organiser or its appointed Event management/security personnel on matters of immediate safety and admission is final at the Event.
8. FIRE & EVENT SAFETY
Feast of Fire involves open flames, hot cooking equipment, smoke, charcoal, embers, knives, heavy equipment and other hazards inherent in live-fire cooking.
Guests must remain within designated public areas and observe barriers, ropes, signs and instructions.
Do not touch fires, pits, grills, cooking equipment, tools, machinery or food-preparation equipment unless specifically invited to do so by an authorised member of the Event team.
Certain areas may temporarily be closed or access restricted while cooking, demonstrations or equipment movement take place.
Guests attend an outdoor event and should wear footwear and clothing appropriate to the terrain, weather and proximity to live fire.
Parents and guardians are responsible for the supervision and safety of children in their care at all times.
9. WRISTBANDS
An official Feast of Fire wristband may be issued on first admission.
Your wristband is your proof of entitlement to remain at and, where applicable, re-enter the Event.
Wristbands must:
- be worn securely for the period required by the Organiser;
- remain intact;
- not be removed and passed to another person;
- not be altered, cut, tampered with or duplicated; and
- be shown to Event staff on request.
A wristband which has been removed, transferred, damaged or tampered with may be treated as invalid.
Lost, removed or damaged wristbands may not be replaced and may result in re-entry being refused.
10. FOOD TOKENS & SCHEDULED MEALS
Feast of Fire is structured around a series of scheduled dishes and food services across the weekend.
Guests will be provided with the appropriate Feast of Fire food tokens or other redemption method for the services included with their ticket.
Unless we tell you otherwise, one token entitles one person to one serving from the corresponding scheduled food service.
Tokens:
- must be surrendered when the relevant dish is collected;
- have no cash value;
- cannot be exchanged for money or drinks;
- cannot be duplicated;
- are valid only for the service for which they are intended; and
- cannot normally be replaced if lost, damaged or already redeemed.
Guests are responsible for keeping their tokens safe.
Food is prepared as part of a timed live-fire programme. Guests should therefore attend the relevant serving periods shown in the published weekend schedule.
If you miss a scheduled service, we cannot guarantee that the dish will remain available later.
Unused or missed food tokens have no cash or refund value.
11. FOOD, MENUS & CHEFS
One of the defining features of Feast of Fire is that the food is cooked live.
Menus, dishes, ingredients, cooking methods and serving times may therefore change because of availability, weather, fire conditions, chef requirements or other operational circumstances.
Advertised chefs, cooks and contributors also participate subject to availability.
The withdrawal or substitution of an individual chef, cook, dish, demonstration or ingredient does not constitute cancellation of the Event and does not entitle the ticket holder to a refund.
We will always aim to replace or adapt an element of the programme where reasonably possible.
12. ALLERGIES & DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
Feast of Fire involves many chefs cooking in an outdoor environment and may involve shared preparation, cooking and serving areas.
If you have an allergy, intolerance or dietary requirement, you must tell us when requested during the booking process and you must also make the relevant chef or serving team aware before accepting or consuming food.
Although we will make reasonable efforts to provide accurate allergen information and accommodate dietary requirements that we have agreed in advance, we cannot guarantee an environment completely free from allergens or cross-contact.
Guests with serious allergies must exercise their own judgement when deciding whether food is safe for them to consume.
13. TRANSFER OR RESALE OF TICKETS
We understand that circumstances change and a ticket holder may occasionally need to pass their ticket to someone else.
A transferred or privately resold ticket will only be recognised once the Organiser has been informed of the change of ticket holder and the booking has been updated or the transfer has otherwise been approved by us.
The original purchaser must contact us before the Event and provide the information reasonably required to identify the replacement guest.
Until that change has been acknowledged, the name and details held on our ticketing system remain the authorised ticket-holder details.
If we have not been told who now holds the ticket, we reserve the right not to honour the transfer.
Anyone purchasing a ticket from another person does so at their own risk until the transfer has been confirmed by us.
We are not responsible for:
- fraudulent tickets;
- duplicate tickets;
- tickets purchased from unauthorised sellers;
- amounts paid above the original ticket price; or
- disputes between a purchaser and a private seller.
Tickets must not be used as competition prizes, hospitality packages, advertising promotions or commercial resale inventory without our prior written consent.
Any restriction on ticket transfer or resale will be applied only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
14. TICKET FRAUD & DUPLICATION
Each ticket or booking reference may be used only as authorised.
Where multiple people present copies of the same ticket or booking credential, the first valid ticket accepted through our admission system may be treated as the valid admission, subject to our reasonable investigation of the circumstances.
Tickets or wristbands which have been forged, duplicated, altered or obtained fraudulently will be refused.
15. ALCOHOL
Alcohol will only be supplied in accordance with the licensing requirements applicable to the Event.
Proof of age may be required.
The Organiser, bar operator or venue may refuse to serve alcohol to any person where legally required or where they reasonably consider that person intoxicated or that service would be unsafe or inappropriate.
Refusal of alcohol service does not entitle the guest to a refund.
Guests must drink responsibly.
16. PERSONAL BELONGINGS
Guests are responsible for their own belongings.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Organiser is not responsible for loss of, theft of or damage to personal possessions, vehicles or other property brought to or left at the Event.
Please do not bring valuables that you cannot keep secure.
17. DAMAGE CAUSED BY GUESTS
Guests may be held responsible for loss or damage they deliberately or negligently cause to:
- Event equipment;
- cooking equipment;
- tents, structures or furniture;
- the venue or land;
- other guests’ property; or
- property belonging to chefs, suppliers or contractors.
We reserve the right to recover reasonable repair, replacement or cleaning costs.
18. PHOTOGRAPHY & FILMING
Feast of Fire is photographed and filmed for editorial, promotional, social-media and archival purposes.
By entering the Event, you acknowledge that photography and filming will take place in public Event areas and that you may incidentally appear in crowd or atmospheric footage.
Where practical, guests who do not wish to be the principal subject of photography or filming should make this known to the photographer or a member of the Event team.
Professional photography, commercial filming, live streaming or use of Event imagery for commercial purposes requires prior written permission from the Organiser.
19. PROGRAMME & INFORMATION
Schedules published before or during the Event are intended as a guide.
Because Feast of Fire is a live event, timings may change.
Announcements and reasonable instructions given by the Organiser or Event staff during the Event take precedence over an earlier published timetable where necessary.
We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes.
20. ACCESSIBILITY & THE OUTDOOR ENVIRONMENT
Feast of Fire takes place in outdoor surroundings and parts of the Event may involve grass, uneven ground, slopes, mud or changing weather conditions.
If you have particular accessibility requirements, please contact us before purchasing wherever possible so that we can explain the facilities available and discuss reasonable adjustments.
21. LIABILITY
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or any statutory consumer rights which cannot legally be excluded.
Subject to those rights and to the fullest extent permitted by law, the Organiser will not be responsible for:
- indirect or consequential losses;
- loss of enjoyment arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control;
- travel or accommodation expenses;
- lost earnings;
- third-party costs;
- loss or theft of personal belongings;
- the acts or omissions of independent third parties outside the Organiser’s reasonable control; or
- losses which were not reasonably foreseeable when the ticket was purchased.
Where the Organiser is legally liable to a ticket holder and the law permits such limitation, our liability will not exceed the amount paid to us for that person’s Event ticket.
Your existing agreement also contains a limitation on indirect, incidental, consequential and special losses, which is the principle reflected here.
22. CONDUCT TOWARDS STAFF, COOKS & OTHER GUESTS
Feast of Fire operates a zero-tolerance approach to threatening, abusive, discriminatory, violent or harassing behaviour.
Our chefs, pit cooks, volunteers, contractors, staff and other guests are entitled to be treated with respect.
Serious misconduct may result in immediate removal from the Event without refund and, where appropriate, referral to the police or other authorities.
23. FOLLOWING EVENT INSTRUCTIONS
Event management may issue reasonable instructions before or during the Event relating to:
- safety;
- weather;
- fire management;
- site access;
- food service;
- queues;
- emergency arrangements;
- alcohol;
- restricted areas; or
- the general operation of the Event.
All guests must comply promptly with those instructions.
Failure to do so may result in access being restricted or the guest being removed from the Event without refund.
24. DATA & CONTACT INFORMATION
Ticket purchasers must provide accurate contact information.
We may use those details to administer the booking and to send important information relating to the Event, including safety information, ticketing information and changes to timings, location or arrangements.
Our handling of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.
25. EVENT COMMUNICATIONS
It is the ticket holder’s responsibility to check the email address supplied when booking and any official Feast of Fire communications reasonably close to the Event.
We are not responsible where a guest fails to receive information because incorrect contact information was supplied or because messages were filtered, blocked or ignored.
26. THESE TERMS
If any part of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
A failure by the Organiser to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.
We may update these Terms from time to time for future ticket purchases.
The terms applying to a booking will normally be those made available when that booking was completed, subject to any operational and safety rules that reasonably need to be introduced for the Event.
Nothing in these Terms affects rights which a consumer is entitled to under applicable law.
27. GOVERNING LAW
Where the Organiser is Feast of Fire Ltd, these Terms and the booking are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the Rebublic of Ireland (as applicable)., subject always to any mandatory consumer protections applicable to an individual customer or Event which cannot lawfully be excluded.
Your existing agreement similarly specifies the laws and courts of England and Wales and the Rebublic of Ireland (as applicable).
